We will be comparing them in these three models:

Eureka vs Bissell Stick Vacuum

A versatile vacuum cleaner that switches easily from a stick to an upright or handheld vacuum cleaner that can reach high surfaces. It works well on hardwood floors, area rugs, laminate, vinyl, tile, and low pile carpets. It’s equipped with a swivel head and at 4 pounds, it is highly maneuverable.

On the suction front, the Eureka Blaze can swallow large debris and fine dust.

It is bagless and even though it’s not HEPA certified, the filter still does well at sucking pollen and fine particles out of the air. The eureka Blaze has a crevice tool for cleaning corners.

What we don’t like about the Eureka Blaze

Apart from not having a HEPA filter, the Eureka blaze stick vacuum cleaner does not do well on rugs and carpets.

Bissell Featherweight stick vacuum is a lightweight bagless vacuum that is a machine for vanquishing debris on hard floors.

For its size, it is powerful, convenient, and easy to use. It has a great suction power that allows it to work well across different modes and surfaces. Speaking of modes, it is a 3-1 system that goes from handheld to upright and stick vacuum mode.

It is great on stairs, tabletops, hard floors, and low pile carpet. The bagless cleaner has an easy-to-empty 0.67-liter dirt cup. The filtration system has no HEPA certification but that doesn’t stop it from being great with sucking particles out of the air and picking up short hair pet fur easily.

What we don’t like about the Bissell Featherweight

While like the Eureka blaze, the Bissell Featherweight doesn’t have a HEPA filter, it has an even shorter cord and it performs less as the dirt cup gets filled up.

Cordless Models Available

The Bissell Featherweight has a cordless product in the range that is more expensive but come up with Crevice Tool and Upholstery Tool that the corded version doesn’t.

  • Design and Maneuverability

Both the Eureka Blaze and Bissell Featherweight are very maneuverable. With the combination of a lightweight system and wheels, these two cleaners are easy to move around the house to tackle the dirt. The Eureka Blaze has an 18-foot power cord and a swivel neck while the Bissell Featherweight has no swivel steering and just a 15-foot power cord. It’s a tie for both products.

  • Filtration System

The Eureka Blaze and the Bissell Featherweight both suck up debris including large and fine particles from your surfaces easily. They clean the air well with their washable filters. One thing is that they don’t have HEPA-certified filters and that’s a letdown so we’ll call this a tie as well.

  • Versatility

The Eureka and Bissell stick vacuums are flexible enough for you to be able to get your small and medium cleaning jobs done quickly with them. Eureka Blaze and Bissell Featherweight can convert from a stick vacuum to a handheld vacuum to help you do quick clean up jobs on any surface that needs to be cleaned.

Eureka Blaze has a 3-in-1 design that combines a regular stick vacuum, handheld vacuum, and a stair vacuum so that you can quickly switch from one mode to the other. It has a crevice tool for cleaning corners. The Bissell Featherweight also boasts a 3-in-1 vacuum that has a handheld vacuum, stair vacuum mode, and a stick vacuum. However, both products are weak at picking up long pet hair so it’s also a tie for versatility.

Verdict: Bissell Featherweight

Well, the two vacuum cleaners are neck and neck in this review. While the Eureka Blaze has a swivel steering and a longer power cord than the Bissell Featherweight, different users have noted that the Bissell Featherweight has a powerful suction balance and it does a better job cleaning up pet hairs, rugs and carpet than the Eureka Blaze.

The Bissell Featherweight wins this round.

Canister vacs are some of the most powerful vacuums around and Eureka Mighty Mite is one of the most versatile and reliable for its price range.

This compact cleaner is perfect for hard floors. With a long 20-foot power cord and a dust cup capacity of 2.5 liters, you can expect to have a machine that can clean a large home in a single round.

It has a brush roll that loosens dirt before sucking it out of carpets and upholstery and car interior. The 10 amp machine has a fingertip control, deluxe floor brush, and Bare-floor nozzle. It can be converted to a blower too for gardening jobs.

What we don’t like about the Eureka Mighty Mite

While this vacuum is lightweight with easy maneuverability and suction, accessibility to suction range is difficult due to the adjustable slip ring on the nose.

Additionally, the Eureka Mighty Mite struggles with large debris on rugs.

The Zing is Bissell’s answer to the canister vacuum. It is a 9-amp, 2-liter bagless cleaner with cyclonic action suction that clears your hard floors and carpets to hard floors with ease. The filters are not HEPA certified but they are adept at cleaning particles out of the air. It has a 15-foot cord that retracts into the 8-pound machine easily.

What we don’t like about the Bissell Zing

While the Bissell Zing has powerful suction, it just doesn’t do too well on rugs and carpets. Also, it’s not as easy to maneuvre considering that the head does not swivel too well.

  • Design and Maneuverability

The  Eureka Mighty Mite and Bissell Zing offer strong suction via their powerful motors. They can clean carpets and hard floors easily. The Mighty Mite comes with different cleaning heads for cleaning the floor while the Bissell Zing has just one multi-purpose nozzle.

They both have multiple attachments and extension wands for cleaning hard-to-reach places and different floors. The Eureka Mighty Mite can be converted into a blower for clearing leaves off your garden. The Eureka Mighty Mite has fingertip controls and an ergonomically designed wand for easy operation.

When you’re done vacuuming, you can store the cords on them. The Mighty Mite has a 20-foot cord that wraps around the machine. The Eureka Zing had a cord of similar inches shorter, you can automatically rewind it by simply pushing a button, allowing you to quickly store the vacuum.

The Bissell Zing and Eureka Mighty Mite have wheels for movement and they are also lightweight enough.

Here, the Eureka Mighty Mite wins.

  • Filtration System

Despite a lack of HEPA filters, the Eureka Mighty Mite and Bissell Zing are adept enough to clean particles out of your air; they have several filtration layers to prevent fine dust from escaping the canister vacuums’ disposable bags.

The Eureka Mighty Mite gives you a strong and adjustable suction with a 12-amp motor. While the Bissell Zing uses its 10-amp motor to suck up debris.

The filtration system is a tie as none of them has an advanced system.

  • Versatility

Both the Bissell Zing and Eureka Mighty Mite can be used on hardwoods, tile and carpets, stairs, and for above-floor cleaning. The Mighty Mite has different floor cleaning attachments while the Zing has a single floor nozzle that can be used on hard floors and carpets

The weight of both cleaners is no problem. The  Mighty Mite weighs 9 pounds while the Zing weighs 8 pounds.

Verdict: Eureka Mighty Mite

The Bissell Zing is a Standard Canister vacuum cleaner. However, the Eureka Mighty Mite is more versatile especially with the Blower port that brings a new possibility to the vacuum game.

Eureka vs Bissell Upright Vacuum

Most cleaners that are used in the home are upright cleaners. This is due to their power, versatility, and efficiency. This review will not be complete if we don’t review them.

  •  Design and Maneuverability

The Bissell CleanView vacuum has an extendible hose that can clean high surfaces and small bristles can be attached to it for more specialized cleaning. The accessories include a Turbo Brush tool and extension wand.

The Eureka  Airspeed is lighter than the Bissell CleanView at 7.7 pounds. This allows you to easily move it around the home and up stairs. The wheels are small and not easily maneuverable especially when being used on carpets and the power cord is a bit short.

The Eureka Airspeed’s lightweight and ease of maneuvrability takes this round.

  • Suction and Filtration System

The Bissell CleanView had an average suction strength that’s attached to a patented multi-cyclonic filtration system. The filtration system ensures that no debris is stuck in the machine to allow for a free-flowing cleaning experience.

The filter is not HEPA certified to keep our allergens. However, you can expect it to leave your home free from particles. The Bissell CleanView comes equipped with extra brushes and suction along the sides of the vacuum. It also has a Dual Edge Cleaning System that allows you to suck up dirt and debris away from baseboards

Eureka on the other hand has AirSpeed Technology that uses tubes that directly suck debris into the dirt canister.  The Eureka Airspeed also has a long-lasting washable non-HEPA-certified filter. The airspeed has a 1.7 liters capacity dirt canister for large storage.

The BissellCleanview wins.

  • Versatility

The Bissell CleanView vacuum is reliable and flexible enough to work on almost any floor type, including hardwood floors, and low-pile carpets. The rolling brush loosens embedded dirt in the carpet before it sucks up the dirt, cobwebs, and pet hair too. All of these combine into the OnePass technology that prevents debris from scattering across the floor when you’re cleaning.

The Eureka Airspeed has enough power to deal with dirt and dust over hard floors however, it isn’t so adept at high pile carpets. It has a crevice tool and dusting brush that can be stored onboard the unit.

The Bissell cleanview wins this round.

Verdict: Bissell CleanView

The Eureka Airspeed gives the Bissell a run for its money. However, the Bissell shoots above the Airspeed with its reliability and number of patented technologies and the fact that its wheels work more reliably.

Wrap Up

We hope to have been able to demystify the vacuum cleaners in the ranges offered by, Bissell and Eureka.
